** Interior Manuscript Formatting
Manuscript must be submitted electronically (on CD, floppy disk, or via email), double-spaced, and in 12 point Times New Roman font with no graphics or formatting in a standard word processing software (i.e. MS Word or Wordperfect). Removal of unnecessary author formatting will incur additional charges.

[i.e. – yourname@p1pubs.com] Each author will receive an email address that forwards to any email they specify. This feature helps you as an author to be able to distinguish which email communications are directly connected to your book.
**** Sub-domain Website
[i.e. – www.yourbooktitle.p1pubs.com] limited to the following five web pages: Welcome, Author Bio, Excerpt, Order and Contact pages. Order page is linked to PriorityONE Publications merchant account. This option is perfect for the author that wants to have their book promoted on its own website, but prefer not to be concerned with processing orders. All communications with this option are forwarded to the author.
***** Full Service Website
[i.e. – www.yourbooktitle.com] registered in your name with two years paid in advance with auto-renewal is limited to the following five pages: Welcome, Author Bio, Excerpt, Order, and Contact pages. Order page is linked to your own PayPal or Merchant Account. Additional pages and features [i.e. – flash, videos, trailers, audio files, etc.] incur additional charges.
Books requiring indexing, extensive, or developmental editing will incur additional charges/hour, as outlined in the agreement.
Transcription Services Are Availaable
at $1.50/minute (i.e., one 60 minute cassette @ $1.50/minute would cost $90). Transcription would result in pages typed with 1” margin on all four sides and double-spaced using 12 point Times New Roman font. Normal turnaround for one 60-90 minute cassette is 3 – 5 business days. Multiple cassettes require additional turnaround time.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
The following mistakes could result in additional charges.
- Do not use the Enter/ Return key at the end of each line (as you would on a typewriter). Let the text automatically flow from one line to the other. Only use the Enter/ Return key once at the end of each paragraph.
- Do not use the space bar or Tab key to align or indent your text. Any indent you want in your text should be done with the margin controller.
- Do not use columns in your work unless used as a chart or table and meant as a graphic.
- Do not manually insert hyphens to indicate where a word should break at the ends of lines.
- Do not include your back cover text (summary and author’s biography) inside your manuscript unless you want it to be included inside your book. Submit it online or in a Word document with your submission.
- Do not set specific margins in your MS Word document. We will do this once we are ready to format your book.
